I recently was diagnosed with a sleep disorder and now use a BiPAP machine to sleep with. I have noticed a major difference already and have
only used this machine for a few days...
So I wanted to pass this along...
Take care, Gloria

Protect Your Heart While You Sleep

From: www.everydayhealth.com
Have you ever been told that you snore loudly?
Check out these symptoms to see if you have sleep apnea.

Untreated sleep apnea can increase your struggles with high blood pressure and up your risk for a heart attack, stroke, or diabetes. Your spouse or other family members may notice loud snoring, choking, or gasping while you’re asleep. Be on the lookout f spot these signs:

* Fighting sleepiness during the day (even at work or while driving)
* Morning headaches
* Memory or learning problems
* Feeling irritable
* Not being able to concentrate on your work
* Mood swings or personality changes; perhaps
feeling depressed
* Dry throat when you wake up
* Frequent urination at night

To cure mild sleep apnea, try these steps:
* Avoid alcohol, smoking, and medicines that make you sleepy. They make it harder for your throat to stay open while you sleep.
* Lose weight if you are overweight. Even a little weight loss can improve your symptoms.
* Sleep on your side instead of your back. Sleeping on your side may help keep your throat open.

If these steps don’t provide relief, check with your doctor for more help.
